Special and Unique Qualities

I feel that each student is special and I therefore take a special interest in each student.

One-on-one classes are offered for piano and small groups can be accommodated for recorder classes.

Students, especially children, say that I am patient. I think this comes from the fact that I take a practical approach, with the progress of the student almost dictating how the tuition will evolve. As the student grows in confidence and ability, so do the challenges.

I take the approach of ‘bringing out’ the talent in the student instead of dictating to them.

Once the student is playing at a sufficiently proficient level, theory is introduced. This ensures that theory is not left behind.

Students are encouraged to do the Trinity College Grade exams, as it gives them a goal to work towards, as well as the confidence to play in front of others.

Ongoing concerts that are put on for parents, friends and family are also a part of the program. While this can be tense for the new students, it is also lots of fun for everyone involved.
